Well.
I actually started my blogging on Livejournal back in December. However, LJ makes you watch advertisements before you write anything and I deal with enough obnoxiousness in a day. I don't need to waste three more minutes of my life so I can write for free on the internet.
SO. Here we go. Again. Since leaving Ft. Hood ('The Great Place' which it has so graciously tagged itself as) I spent a few weeks (or a couple of days or some X amount of time that I really can't recall) in Kuwait. All in all, Kuwait wasn't bad. It was basically miles and miles and miles of sand as far as the eye could see. I've never seen so much sand without a beach attached somewhere close by.... there is no beach. I mean, somewhere in Kuwait, there is a beach. But where we were there was barely enough water to take a shower.
Now, I'm in Iraq. The weather reminds me of spring break in Destin. But no beach. It IS considerably greener here though. And there really isn't sand... its mostly just very fine dirt. So when it rains, everything turns to mud. There is no escaping it. The mud is everywhere. It's really a very charming country.
Okay, I'm done talking about weather. This is probably going to turn into a very wedding heavy blog. I really want input on... everything. So first order of business...
Can somebody find me these shooes?! I don't know what they're called, all I know is that Augusta Jones makes them. They're kind of perfect for my wedding dress... The heal isn't too tall (I don't want to be taller than my wonderful groom... I also don't want to tempt an embarrassing fall and end up on youtube) and the color matches my dress perfectly. I wish there was such a thing as a picture search engine. Where you attach a picture and press "search" and all the websites that have that picture show up.
The colors of the wedding are dark red/burgundy/berry/whatever-you-want-to-call-dark-red and Ivory/Cream.
My Bouquet. Except I want the stems wrapped in the same burgundy color as the flowers.... no crystal bracelet.
Bridesmaids Bouquet. Their stems will be wrapped in ivory satin.
Thank God for The Knot because finding ideas and flowers and all the little stuff is not my forte.
