I've always heard that when you get deployed one of two things happens. One. With nothing else to do except work, you spend excess amounts of time in the gym working out. Running, biking, lifting, elliptical-ing... etc. This results in probably being in the best shape of your life. It might not last too long once you get back, but at least you come home with a bang.
Two. You do the exact opposite. Instead of working out, you just work and take advantage of the three meals a day the army offers you. Never mind the posters that say things like "GO GREEN" featuring pictures of fit soldiers eating vegetables. Your boss has pissed you off and your feelings are best expressed by the constant shoveling of chili cheese fries into your mouth. This generally results in coming home in worse condition than when you first deployed.
My first few weeks here I could slowly see myself sinking into habit number two. However, On Sunday I got my first day off since being in the Middle East and I took the opportunity to go to the gym. I generally hate going to the gym. I don't like working out in public places with a bunch of other sweaty people. But for some reason working out is different for me now. It has really helped me de-stressed and I feel AMAZING after. I plan on having a visible six-pack and be one pant size bigger than I am now... aka my ass is gonna be HUGE...relatively.... in a good way.
This is the Honeymoon suit... well at least for now it is. Its my favorite thus far, but I'll continue the search... Just as I'm searching for a honeymoon that won't completely break our bank. Or maybe we should just break the bank because its our honeymoon and I've been in Iraq and ... I like nice things.

Victoria's Secret has some very affordable and adorable bathing suit options. Well, some are affordable and some aren't, so just look around. ;)
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have a six-pack and more junk in da trunk, I want a divorce.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I like that bathing suit.
I love you.
